Site Briefing

Thorough, comprehensive briefings are our trademark. Using our large-scale topographic maps, we cover all aspects of flying, airspace, pilot cooperation, out-landing, and retrieve options. IMG_5451

With special emphasis on safety, each day’s briefing deals with a suggested “task” for the forecast conditions. Pilots are encouraged to try for personal best flights, but to attempt these only within their own safety parameters. Guide pilots will often accompany a group; and via radio, suggest routes, tactics and strategy. Continuous in-flight weather monitoring is also an important part of our system. The retrieve driver (usually an experienced local pilot) will relay warnings, cautions and advice to airborne pilots as required.
